Major Field Test

Required Testing

All mathematics majors are required to take the Major Field Test (MFT) during their senior year. We want you to be prepared, so here you will find information that will help you plan for this test. MFT is a two hour, 50 question test covering the material studied in Calculus I (MATH 1210) and above.

Calculators are not allowed on this test!

Our Capstone Seminar (MATH 4900), taught in the Spring semester of your senior year, is offered to help prepare for this test. However, preparation for this test should start as soon as possible.

Students that intend to go to graduate school must learn about the GRE Math subject test as well.
