Dixie PREP

Program Description

Dixie PREP provides three summers of rigorous academic instruction, educational hands-on projects, challenging homework assignments, and daily career awareness for 7th, 8th, and 9th grade students who have an interest and aptitude in Science, Technology, Engineering, and/or Mathematics fields. Dixie PREP strives to provide opportunities for high achieving students to pursue STEM studies and careers. Underrepresented and first generation students are encouraged to apply.

Attendance Policy:

Dixie PREP students are allowed three absences before probable dismissal from the program. There are no exceptions. Please keep this in mind as you plan your summer vacations and other activities.
Fridays are optional. This is when we participate in field trips.

Program Admission Requirements:

  • Washington County resident currently enrolled in 6th grade
  • Parental permission
  • 90% or better in current math class
  • Current report card
  • Teacher recommendation
  • 100-150 word essay: Why I want to participate in Dixie PREP?
